The Drum Inn is well known in Torquay and across Devon as a fine country pub. A popular pub famous for great food, we are nestled at the top of the beautiful village of Cockington near Torquay. There is always a warm welcome with roaring log fires, freshly prepared food, a great selection of real ales and a diverse wine menu for you to choose from.

Dating back to 1936 The Drum's claim to fame is its architect; the world famous Sir Edwin Lutyens (www.lutyenstrust.org.uk). Lutyens designed the pub as the focal point of the village and today his beautiful vision retains all its traditional charm thanks to a recent million pound restoration project that replaced its thatched roof, restored its beautiful gardens and made the most of its superb views.

It's the Drum Inn's location, character and history that attracts visitors from across Devon and neighbours from nearby towns like, Newton Abbot, Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. We are an excellent venue for holiday-makers looking for great food and drink served all day every day and a popular choice for your business meeting or lunch.

Open every day -our standard opening times are below but we may open earlier on certain days depending on local demand so please do call us to check if you would like to visit us before midday.

Monday to Saturday 12pm to 11pm.
